1. Agreement
These Terms govern your use of yestohypnosis.com and any services you book or purchase from Jennifer Sexton, CCHt, a sole proprietor ("I," "me," "my"). By booking a session, purchasing a block of sessions, buying or accessing a course, or submitting an application through this site, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not book or purchase.
2. What I am, and what I am not
I hold certification as a Certified Clinical Hypnotherapist (CCHt) from the American Hypnosis Association, and I am a Reiki Master Teacher. I am also trained practitioner of Neurolinguistic Programming, Emotional Freedom Technique, and Controlled Remote Viewing. I may practice techniques from the Bengston Energy Healing Method®; I am not registered by, endorsed by, or affiliated with that organization, and no such affiliation is claimed.
I am not a physician, psychologist, psychiatrist, licensed counselor, social worker, dietitian, or any other licensed healthcare provider. Hypnotherapy is not a licensed profession in Pennsylvania. My certifications are professional credentials, not state licensure.
Nothing I provide is medical care, psychotherapy, psychiatric treatment, diagnosis, or a substitute for any of them. I do not diagnose or treat any disease, disorder, or medical or mental health condition. I do not prescribe, alter, or advise on medication. I will not tell you to stop or change any treatment prescribed by a licensed provider.
Written summaries, reports, practices, and recordings I provide are my professional observations and educational suggestions. They are not clinical assessments and should not be presented or relied upon as such.
3. Services offered
Currently offered: hypnotherapy sessions delivered online via Zoom; Reiki and other energy techniques incorporated into sessions when appropriate and with your agreement; the Inner Authority Method at-home course; custom recorded hypnosis audio for clients in qualifying session blocks; and public speaking engagements arranged separately.
I hold teaching qualifications in Reiki and Controlled Remote Viewing. Instruction in those modalities is not currently offered for sale. Any future offering will be governed by its own terms.
4. No guarantee of results
Hypnotherapy and energy work are complementary practices. Individual results vary and depend substantially on your participation, openness, and the work you do between sessions. I make no promise, guarantee, or warranty of any particular outcome — including but not limited to weight change, smoking cessation, pain reduction, habit change, or emotional relief. Testimonials and case examples describe individual experiences and are not a prediction of your results.
5. Eligibility and clients under 18
You must be at least 18 years old to book services for yourself. I work with clients under 18 only with the written consent of a parent or legal guardian, who must complete the application, agree to these Terms on the minor's behalf, and remain available for the duration of any session. I may require a parent or guardian to be present. I may decline to work with a minor at my discretion.
6. Your responsibilities
• Tell me the truth about your health history, current symptoms, medications, and any care you are receiving, and let me know if any of it changes.
• Obtain clearance from your physician or mental health provider before beginning work with me if you have or have had epilepsy or a seizure disorder, psychosis, schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, a dissociative disorder, severe depression, suicidal thoughts, a recent psychiatric hospitalization, or any condition for which hypnosis may be contraindicated.
• Continue any care you are already receiving. Do not stop or change treatment because of anything that happens in our work together.
• Make your own decisions. You remain responsible for the choices you make and the actions you take.
• Be somewhere private, quiet, and safe for the duration of a session. Do not attend a session while driving or operating machinery.
7. Online sessions and your location
All sessions are delivered online. Sessions require a stable internet connection, a device with working audio and video, and a private space. I am not responsible for technical failures on your end. If a session cannot proceed because of a technical problem on my end, that session is not used — we will simply reschedule it at no additional charge.
I practice from Pennsylvania, United States. If you are located elsewhere, you are responsible for knowing and complying with the laws of your own jurisdiction regarding hypnotherapy and complementary practices. I make no representation that my services are lawful or appropriate in any particular location outside Pennsylvania, and I may decline to work with clients in jurisdictions where doing so would be restricted.
8. Fees, payment, and session blocks
Current fees are stated at the time of booking. Payment is processed through Carepatron and its payment processor; I do not store your card details. Sessions and blocks are paid in full at the time of booking.
• Blocks of sessions are non-refundable.
• Blocks of 3 or 6 sessions expire six months from the date of purchase. Blocks of 8 or more expire twelve months from the date of purchase. Unused sessions after expiry are forfeited.
• Blocks are personal to you and may not be transferred, shared, or resold.
• I may change my fees at any time. Any block you have already purchased is honored at the price you paid.
9. Scheduling, cancellation, and missed appointments
Your session time is reserved exclusively for you. I ask for at least 48 hours notice to reschedule or cancel. Cancellations with less than 48 hours notice are charged the full session fee, and where the session is part of a block, that session is deducted from your balance.
For the free introductory call, 24 hours notice is requested. If you do not attend and do not notify me, I will not rebook you.
If I need to reschedule, I will give you as much notice as I reasonably can and will not charge you for that session.
10. Messaging between sessions
Messaging between sessions is included with certain session blocks. It is intended for brief questions about your practices and short updates worth bringing to our next conversation. It is not a substitute for a session and is not a channel for working through something in real time.
Messaging takes place through the Carepatron client portal. Text messages to my phone are for scheduling only — please do not send health information, session details, or anything sensitive by text, as text messaging is not a secure channel.
Messaging is not monitored continuously and is not a crisis or emergency channel. I respond within 24 or 48 hours depending on your block, during weekday business hours (Monday through Friday, 9:00 am to 3:00 pm Eastern). Messages sent outside those hours are answered the next business day.
11. Emergencies
If you are in crisis, do not use this website, email, or messaging. Call or text 988 (Suicide & Crisis Lifeline), call 911, or go to your nearest emergency room. If you are outside the United States, contact your local emergency number.
I am a solo practitioner. I am not available on an on-call basis and cannot provide emergency, urgent, or after-hours care.
12. Recordings
I do not routinely record sessions. I record only for a specific purpose — for example, to give you instruction in a technique you can use on your own — and I will ask your permission before doing so. You may decline, and declining will not affect the work.
You may not record any session, in whole or in part, without my prior written permission.
13. Custom hypnosis audio
Custom recorded audio is prepared for you personally and is licensed to you for your own private use. You may not copy, share, publish, distribute, or sell it. The recording remains my intellectual property.
Never listen to hypnosis audio while driving, operating machinery, or doing anything that requires your attention. Listen only when you are seated or lying down somewhere safe and can be undisturbed.
14. Course and other materials
The Inner Authority Method at-home course, written summaries, worksheets, recordings, the free eBook, and all content on this website are my intellectual property and are protected by copyright. Access granted to you is a personal, non-transferable license for your own use. You may not share login details, redistribute materials, or use any of it to teach, train, or create derivative offerings without my written permission.
Where course access is included with a session block, that access is provided at purchase and is not separately refundable.
15. Notes, confidentiality, and privacy
I keep brief written notes to prepare and deliver your sessions. I am not a HIPAA covered entity, but I hold myself to those standards as a matter of practice and have business associate agreements in place with my providers where offered. I treat what you share with me as confidential and do not disclose it except where you ask me to. There are limits: I am obligated to disclose where I have reasonable suspicion of harm to you or to another person, and where I am otherwise legally required to do so.
As part of my hypnotherapy training and supervision, I log session records with the Hypnosis Motivation Institute. These records identify clients by initials and a case number only, and describe the techniques used and my reflections on the session. If you would prefer that your sessions not be logged this way, tell me before we begin.
Because I am not a licensed healthcare provider, the legal protections attaching to communications with a licensed therapist, physician, or attorney do not apply to our conversations. Please bear that in mind in deciding what you share.
Use of this website is also governed by my Privacy Policy.
16. Email and marketing
If you give me your email address — including to receive the free eBook — I may send you occasional updates, offers, and educational content. Every such email will include a way to unsubscribe, and unsubscribing will not affect any service you have purchased. Emails relating directly to a booking or purchase are transactional and will continue regardless.
17. Declining, referring, and ending work
I may decline to begin or continue working with you at my discretion — including where I believe your needs would be better served by a licensed provider, where the work is outside my scope, or where the working relationship is not productive. Where I decline, I will tell you why and do my best to point you toward an appropriate alternative.
I may end our work immediately and without refund in cases of abusive, threatening, or harassing conduct, or repeated failure to attend scheduled sessions.
You may stop at any time. Any unused sessions remain subject to section 8.
18. Assumption of risk and limitation of liability
You engage my services voluntarily and at your own risk. Hypnosis may bring up strong emotions or memories. You accept that possibility as part of the work.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, my total liability arising out of or relating to these Terms or any service I provide is limited to the amount you paid me for the service giving rise to the claim. I am not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any decision you make or action you take based on our work together. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
19. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, without regard to its conflict of laws rules. Any dispute will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, and you consent to that jurisdiction and venue.
20. Changes
I may update these Terms from time to time. The version posted on this site at the time you book or purchase is the version that applies to that booking or purchase. Material changes will be noted by the "last updated" date above.
